ACT UP San Francisco
(AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) is a diverse collective of individuals
united in anger and determined to end HIV and AIDS through militant
direct action.
We dispute HIV as the cause of a growing list of old
diseases that have been officially categorized as AIDS. Our challenge
to the HIV hypothesis should not be interpreted as an excuse to ignore
symptoms of illness, or to engage in activities known to compromise
health. Decisions regarding health issues should be based on a thorough
evaluation of facts including the fact that people who test positive
and remain healthy vastly outnumber HIV positives who become ill and
die.
ACT UP San Francisco also vehemently opposes all forms
of animal research because of its inherent cruelty and uselessness in
the advancement of medical science.
Through our medical marijuana dispensary, we promote
patients rights, including informed decision making about treatment
options and self-medication.
To that end, ACT UP San Francisco encourages a healthy
lifestyle through vegetarianism, medical marijuana, and questioning
the medical orthodoxy.
We have general
body meetings the first and third Monday night at 7:30 P.M. at our community
space where we encourage individuals from the dispensary as well as
the community to join us in discussing various social and political
issues.

WHAT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT FOR ADMISSION TO YOUR CLUB?
We except San Francisco
medical marijuana cards, Oakland Cannibis Buyers Club cards, Compassionate
Caregivers cards, and Marin County Public Health Department cards. In
addition we also offer our own ACTUP Cards. Both patients and caregivers
are welcome. All medical marijuana cards must be presented at the front
gate along with a valid state identification card.

HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR MEMBERSHIP?
Membership in the
medical marijuana dispensary requires a letter of diagnosis from a licensed
California physician dated within the last year and a photo identification
card issued by a federal or state government agency (e.g., driver's
license, passport, military ID, etc.).
Intakes are by appointment
only. Please call during business hours for availability.
ACTUP San Francisco
dispenses medical marijuana strictly to our members and only for our
members' use. Any abuse of access will result in immediate termination
of membership.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
We offer a selection of preweighed
marijuana with 1/8ths priced between $10 and $50 dollars and grams priced
between $3 and $15 dollars. We also offer a selection of medicinal edibles
for $3 each and kief and hash priced between $15 and $25 dollars.
Ounce and half-ounce discounts
are available as well as a single monthly 10% discount for ACTUP card
holders to be used at their discretion.

ACTUP San Francisco
is open Tuesday thru Thursday between 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and on Monday
between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
